The problem with current car dealership and automotive marketing techniques is that they cater to an audience of 20 plus years ago, an audience not ad fatigued from a constant barrage in their feeds on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, you name it...



For a hefty monthly fee 3rd party automotive marketing and advertising agencies take your typical ads and just auto blast them under the idea that they are fulfilling their contract.  The truth is, that although they are doing SOMETHING to honor their contract, they are leaving the spirit of why you are paying them hard earned money far behind.



This video, in my opinion of course, is an example of where car dealerships need to shift their focus today-  Ads that actually inform and provide value to the consumer first and sell second.



Consumers, in general, can spot an ad a mile away, and especially a car advertisement, but if you are the only dealer that provided them quality information (Visually or written) along their car buying journey, they are going to remember that.  Actually, the warm feeling they get about your brand is the exact feeling you were trying to create all along until you goofed it up with "$179 a month" followed by a paragraph of disclaimers. Well, if you aren't selling then you don't need to destroy your posts with disclaimers, do you?
